End of the year = award time. Thinking that Riley wasn't going to get any because of all the times we took Riley out of school, I didn't have my hopes up for anything too exciting. She received "honor roll" which was good but the big surprise was the last award....
She was one of about 15 students to receive the Citizen of the Year award at school. I was pleasantly surprised and extremely proud of her! As part of the reward, she has a free meal at Applebees!
And on a side note: She's not the tiniest child in the first grade anymore! She's actually taller than the classmate next to her in the picture above...I can't believe how big my little girl is getting. Now, if only she'd clean her room.
