And God Created Man...

Riley has zero concept of time. What takes a matter of minutes would be described by Riley as taking hours or even days. Her memories of past events generally happens "last night" or "when I was 2 years old." She will recall things like, "oh, remember when I went to Sea World last night?" or, "I remember seeing that movie when I was like 2 years old."

So, while sitting at the dining room table just now, she walks up and says:

Momma, when was the first person created by God? It was a long time ago, right? Like in the 1960s or something? Were you alive in the 1960s and did you know Ben Franklin?

I still haven't answered her because I am not sure of the year...and apparently, Riley wants a number to go along with the answer. She's looking at her Bible, though, hoping she finds something...maybe it'll be a picture of the Beatles...they were around in the 60s, right?

Gotta love her...
(Did I happen to mention that I suffer from this, too? Like mother, like daughter.)

HAHAHA!!!! This is so hysterical! My daughter is the same way...things that happened months ago, to her, happened just the other day. And as for the dates of things...yea, Chris & I were trying to figure out if my Grandfather [who passed away 3 years ago] was in WWI, II or the Civil War. How pathetic is that? I tried to tell him that I was in the "dumb" history class...it was the only subject I have no clue about. Literally. And I was in the "dumb" history class in 11th grade so I didn't have to write that god-awful essay-thingy that everyone paniced over!! Looking back, I wish I would have paid slightly more attention....Oh well.
